Fat Triggering Foods That May Shock You

It never ceases to amaze me how many people are tricked into eating products that are supposed to be healthy when in fact they are fat triggering foods. Everyone knows that chips, pop, pizza, bad trans fats and high fructose corn syrup etc, is bad for you. But I'm going to show you 2 foods that should be eliminated from your diet - they may surprise you.

The first is wheat products and yes, this includes whole wheat. Typically, you will find wheat products in all sorts of breads, muffins and pasta etc. Studies show that humans have never gotten used to wheat in their diets and in fact many people have an intolerance to gluten. Up until the last 80 years or so humans have survived mainly on natural foods like meat, vegetables and fruits. From a longer perspective, large quantities of wheat products is something new to us.

It is a good idea to experiment by reducing wheat products or completely eliminating them for a few weeks and note if you see any measurable results in your body. At the very least this exercise may reduce indigestion as it has done for so many who have tried this.

The second one that is a shocker for many is fruit juice,whether it is being sold as "healthy" or not. The sugar and carbohydrate content in these juices is as much as some sodas and it has cleverly been marketed to the masses as a healthy product. The amount of apple and orange juice consumed each year is astronomical and what most people do not realize is that its very high in sugar.

If you are on a fitness plan and desire to lose weight it is a good idea to stay away from all fruit juices as it will only work against you. On most fitness plans "fruit is allowed" and that is because when the juice is not extracted you get the benefits of the fiber which is a benefit to your weight loss goal.
